The officers of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of search and investigative activities held on the basis of operative information, detained several times convicted in past- J.E. (DoB 1984) for illegal purchase and keeping of firearm and ammunition.
Committed crime envisages from 3 to 6 years of imprisonment.
On the basis of the relevant court decision, law enforcers held search activities in detainee’s house, as a result of which, “Mauzer” and “ZORAKI” pistols with 2 cartridges and 16 magazines were seized as evidence.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearm and ammunition, article 236, III part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
