The officers of detective’s division and Kharagauli regional division under Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-search and investigative activities, detained R.J. (DoB 1976) for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities.
Committed crime envisages from 8 to 20 years or lifetime imprisonment.
R.J. was detained by the law enforcers when he was driving a vehicle on Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze highway, near Khunevi village, Kharagauli municipality. During the search activities held in detainee’s vehicle, policemen seized 48 packages of substance containing “Heroin” drug.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities, artaaicle 260, VI part, sub-paragraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
