The employees of General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia detained senior lieutenant of police of LEPL State Medical University object security inspector of Tbilisi division 1st section of Security Police Department Berdia Kh. for bribery.

Investigation established, that Berdia Kh. Demanded 600 US dollars from his co-worker, junior inspector, private Leri A. in exchange for receiving the first special rank, getting promotion and accepted 300 US dollars in advance. Investigation is in progress on the fact of bribery perpetrated by the authority, article 338, I part of the criminal Code, envisaging from 6 up to 9 years of imprisonment. Investigation is conducted by the General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
