Delegation of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Lithuania and Poland paid an official 4-day- visit to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. Abovementioned visit was organized within the EU funded project "Eastern Partnership Police Cooperation program", which was launched since the second half of 2014.
The project aims enhancement police cooperation between the EU and the Eastern Partnership countries through sharing best experience of EU member states. Republic of Lithuania is the partner state of Georgia within the Eastern Partnership Police Cooperation Program.
Within the framework of the visit delegation will be introduced to the implemented and ongoing reforms and activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and 2015 Action Plan of the program will be elaborated.
Representatives of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Lithuania and Poland were met by the Director of International Relations Department Mr. Shalva Kvinikhidze, Director of the Central Criminal Police Department Mr. Ivane Papiashvili, Rector of the MIA Academy Mr. Nukri Gelashvili, representative of Reform and Development Agency, Head of Expert-Criminalistics Main Division Mr. Nugzar Sujashvili and by the pertinent experts from the mentioned subunits.
