Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili held meeting with the newly appointed head of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Michael Mcmahon.
Participants of the meeting outlined successful cooperation between INL and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and discussed future plans.
According to the Minister-“Head of INL pointed out that Georgia is the perfect partner. INL is the organization which actively cooperates with Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs. INL always supports development of the Ministry and ongoing reforms. As you may know, United States government and INL provide financial aid to convert MIA Academy in the regional police educational center, which stands as a top priority for the agency”.
Giorgi Mgebrishvili wished success to the newly appointed head of INL and expressed willingness to further enhance cooperation.
Ministry of Internal Affairs has been cooperating with MIA for several years and cooperates in the fields of tactical training, cybercrime, domestic violence, trafficking and fight against drugs.
