Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Ioseb Chelidze opened a new fire-rescue building of European standards in Chkhorotsku.
The opening event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Giorgi Butkhuzi, the Head of the Emergency Situations Management Service - Temur Mghebrishvili, leadership of the Fire and Rescue Department and representatives of local government.
Chkhorotsku will be provided with relevant services by a new, contemporary fire-rescue building constructed in accordance with European standards. The three-storey building fully meets the needs of the region. In the mentioned unit, 20 firefighters will be employed, who have all the conditions to fulfill their official duties.
The new building provides work, study and other spaces for employees, as well as a gym and kitchen. The building has a special parking venue for two fire trucks and one rescue vehicle.
Beginning from today, completely new fire-rescue building will serve Chkhorotsku.
Throughout 2012-2020, new buildings of Emergency Situations Management Service were built in: in Ambrolauri, Kazbegi, Batumi, Rustavi, Zugdidi, Sighnaghi, Borjomi and Anaklia. Construction works are in progress and coming to an end in: Tsalenjikha, Martvili, Chokhatauri and Abastumani.
