James A. Walsh, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Archil Talakvadze, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the representatives of Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) visited Tbilisi #84 public school within the frames of the program of the Ministry “Kids, Cops and Safety”. The guests attended the lesson, which was conducted by a specially retrained patrol-inspector.
After theoretical training the pupils received the practical training. Junior pupils answered the questions on road safety. Archil Talakvadze, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs personally guided the children in viewing the patrol car.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs is implementing the project within the frames of “Georgia Community Action and Linkages for Legal Socialization” (GE CALLS), with the financial support of the INL and in cooperation with the nongovernmental organization PH International.
The program aims to raise legal awareness of minors, which will ensure the public order and prevention of misconduct among adults.
