The Minister Giorgi Gakharia held a meeting with the newly-appointed Ambassador Ross Wilson, who takes up duties as charge d' affaires at the US Embassy.Mr. Giorgi Gakharia congratulated the Ambassador Ross Wilson with the beginning of the diplomatic missions in Georgia and wished success in his future activities.
At the meeting, the parties talked about close and fruitful cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and the United States. The Minister emphasized the importance of the support of the US Government in the Ministry's capacity building.
Mr. Giorgi Gakharia informed the Ambassador about the ongoing and planned reforms within the “systemic upgrade” and introduced the priorities of the Ministry. Ambassador Ross Wilson took up duties as charge d' affaires at the American Embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia on November 8, 2018.
