On February 24, at 10:00 Tbilisi International Forum of Regional Stability “Challenges and Responses to Nuclear Security and Non-Proliferation” will be held at Courtyard Marriott hotel. Forum will be opened by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Levan Izoria.
The Conference will bring together high level officials (country delegations and representatives of international institutions) and experts to discuss a common nuclear security and non-proliferation agenda and review issues relevant for the 2015 NPT Review Conference and the 2016 Nuclear Security Summit.
The conference is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Civil Council on Defense and Security (Tbilisi, Georgia) in close co-operation and financial support of the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority and U.K. Department of Energy and Climate Change and U.S. Department of State.
The results of the Conference will contribute to the lessons for the future: better information sharing, capacity building and harmonization of good radiological and nuclear security and nonproliferation practices and policies.
