At MIA Academy, on November 25, 2014 at 11:00 Deputy Minister Levan Izoria, US Ambassador Richard Norland and Rector of MIA Academy will officially open the seminar –“Indirect interrogation of victims/witnesses of domestic violence and interrogation of the suspect”. The ceremony will also be attended by Tracy Nuvel, the head of the US Embassy’s International Bureau of Narcotics and Law-enforcement (INL), Senior Advisor in Police Affairs- Michael Turner and Advisor in Police Matters- Michael Willson as well as representatives of US Embassy, MIA Academy, Prosecutor’s Office, Ministry of Corrections and Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finances. The Seminar was initiated by US Embassy’s International Bureau of Narcotics and Law-enforcement (INL).
The mentioned seminar is being held for the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, General Prosecutor’s Office, Ministry of Corrections and Ministry of Finances.
Aim of the training is to improve skills of communication among investigators in relation with the victims/witnesses of domestic violence and suspects, which will make response on such crimes and efforts for eradication of domestic violence more efficient.
