I want to address Prime Minister of Georgia with a request on my resignation. This decision was prompted by the recent accusations, alleging that I was covering persons involved in murdering Zura Vazagashvili. Despite the fact that this accusation is complete falsehood, I feel moral responsibility and therefore, determined to leave my position.
In case of solving Iuri Vazagashvili’s murder immediately, I wouldn’t make such decision. On the day of the tragic event, I was abroad. As investigation is in progress, I consider I should be separated from the ongoing process, so that not to leave questions of public towards the government.
I would like to express my hope that investigation will be completed in the nearest future and all concerns and questions will be addressed.
