Fire in Borjomi-Kharagauli national park which broke out near Abastumi has been localized.
More than 1000 employees of the Emergency Situations Management Agency, Special Tasks Department Patrol and Criminal Police as well as Agency of Protected Areas were involved in fire-extinguishing activities.
Aviation was also actively involved in fire-extinguishing works, namely: two Georgian, one Azerbaijani and two Turkish helicopters as well as one Ukrainian rescue plane.
Up to 6 km length new road, leading to various directions, has already been made, enabling dozens of special technic to reach the fire pockets.
At this moment no active fire pockets are detected.fire-preventive activities are being held at the moment.
Live force and firefighting technic continue operation on the scene. Fire-liquidation operation continues in round-the-clock regime.
