Project title: Eastern Partnership (EaP) - Integrated Border Management - Capacity Building Project

Project start/end: 2014 – 2017

Implementing organization: Frontex – European Border and Coast Guard Agency – in cooperation with the World Customs Organization (WCO), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).

Project objective: The overall objective of the project is to facilitate the movement of persons and goods across borders in the six EaP countries (EU external borders and within EaP region), while at the same time maintaining secure borders through the enhancement of inter-agency cooperation, bilateral and multi-lateral cooperation among the target countries, EU member States and other international stakeholders.

Project activities:

1. Regional and national trainings on the following thematic directions:

  • Integrated Border Management;
  • Fight against trafficking;
  • Detection of False Documents;
  • Risk Analysis;
  • Fundamental Rights;
  • Fight against Corruption;
  • Interagency Cooperation.

2. Translation of Methodological Guidelines on Risk Analysis;

3. Development of training curriculums on border management issues;
