The main goal: The overall objective of the project is to ensure/enhance adequate Human Rights Protection in Temporary Detention Isolators through trainings and introduction of new standards of work;
The main objectives:
- Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Temporary Detention Isolators (TDI) staff;
- Elaborating new curriculum for training and re-training of TDI staff and introducing it at MIA Academy;
- Ensuring safe environment in all TDIs.
The main activities:
- Development of comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the TDI staff through hiring an EU expert;
- Introduction of new curriculum in the MIA Academy for training and retraining purpose of TDI staff based on the newly elaborated SOPs;
- Trainings for all TDI personnel in the First Aid Techniques, also equipping TDI’s with first aid kits;
- Trainings for all TDI personnel in the basic psychological issues;
- Trainings for all TDI personnel regarding treating detainees with special needs;
- Increasing safety and better accommodations of detainees, including purchasing/installation of anti-vandal lightning system and refurbishment of beds to ensure safety (eliminate possibilities for self-damage).
