ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED IN REGIONS TOWARDS INTRACTABLE CHILDREN

Under the reference of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) each district police officer was tasked to establish proactive relationship with at least one intractable minor (risk group) in his/her zone of responsibility.

The work is still being conducted with the majority of the children. So far it failed to yield any result with 94 children (the work is still being carried out with 62 of them) and parents of 33 children declined on the mentioned activities.

Police officers conducted regular conversations with intractable children on various major topics, were introduced to the negative consequences of bad habits and their class attendance was permanently monitored.

It is noteworthy that the vast majority of the parents endorsed the project; only 33 of them did decline on the activities to be conducted to their children while 570 parents extended their gratitude and expressed hope for the continuation of the works.

In result of the works vast majority of the intractable children under supervision are on the way to correction by improving their class attendance and avoiding relationship with individuals having criminal propensity, taking interest and beginning preparation in various sport activities
