The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri, attended the event dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the Georgian Defense Forces at Vaziani military base.
The event was attended by the Prime Minister - Irakli Garibashvili, the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia - Shalva Papuashvili, the Minister of Defense - Juansher Burchuladze, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia, as well as executive and legislative authorities.
After the welcoming speeches and congratulations to the personnel, a military award ceremony was held at the 4th Infantry Brigade venue.
The Minister of Internal Affairs viewed the military equipment and uniform displayed at the base. Vakhtang Gomelauri personally congratulated the military servicemen on the Defense Forces Day.
