In September 2016, a training was conducted for the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and other state institutions on the issues of Information Management and Uniformed Services’ Image in Crisis Situations. The training was organized and carried out by Polish law enforcers within the framework of a Polish project titled “Services response at the scene of a terrorist CBRN”. Representatives of State Security Service, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia and State Security and Crisis Management Council also attended the training.
The aim of the training was to provide participants with relevant information concerning such issues as social communication and relation with media, public statements regarding critical situations, covering events related to natural disasters and etc. At the end of the training, participants received certificates.
The overall objective of the aforementioned project is to share Polish experience regarding the prevention of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) threats and effective response to them. It consists of two components: fighting CBRN threats and information management and uniformed services’ image in crisis situations.
