Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Shalva Khutsishvili attended the presentation of the video, specially made for the “Power to Trust” social campaign which is being implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs within the frames of the EU-funded project “Facilitation of MIA in the Fight against Domestic Violence”.
Presentation was attended by head of EU mission program Ketevan Khutsishvili, representatives of international organizations and civil sector.
“Fight against the domestic violence still remains one of the major priorities. A number of successful steps have been made in this direction. Informative video, which was presented today, contains a message directed to the victims of violence and citizens asserting that by mutual trust and assistance we will be able to tackle violence and attain peace”-stated Deputy Minister Khutsishvili.
At the end of the presentation Shalva Khtsishvili awarded police officers profiling in the fight against the domestic violence with certificates of appreciation and symbolic gifts.
Project “Power to Trust” is aimed to contribute to prevention of the domestic violence and raise the awareness of the citizens on the legal mechanisms exiting in the country to fight the mentioned mechanism and other state institutions and service working in the mentioned direction
