Strategic Facilities Protection Department of MIA Special and Emergency Measures Center held the internal mini-football tournament. Since 2005, the tournament has been held every year.This year six contending teams were presented and the most of the players of the teams were conscripts. The Tournament was attended by the Director of the Strategic Facilities Protection Department Mr. Bondo Ochigava and Deputy Directors of the Department: Mr. Aleksandre Maisuradze, Mr. Nikoloz Aptsiauri and Mr. Nukri Loladze, also other employees of the Department and the representatives of the Special and Emergency Measures Center were presented.
The final match was played between the teams of the 2nd Unit of the 3rd Division and the 2nd Unit of the 2nd Division of the Strategic Facilities Protection Department. The tough game was won by the team of the 3rd Division and on the tenth anniversary of the tournament the team became the holder of the Challenge Cup for the second time consecutively. According to the results, the winners were announced in different nominations and the awards were granted to: the best goal-keeper - Mr. Nikoloz Gelashvili, the best bombardier - Mr. Giorgi Shukvani and the best guard - Mr. Data Tsulaia.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs holds sports tournaments annually in order to promote the healthy lifestyle among the employees and the conscripts of the Ministry.
