Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs got involved in “World Police and Fire Games”. Official opening ceremony was held on July 12 in Brussels, Belgium.
Under the initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Georgian sportsmen participate in “World Police and Fire Games” which is held for the fifth time with the involvement of policemen and firefighter from 32 countries. Georgian team will participate with 11 sportsmen in Judo, swimming and race contests.
It is notable that in 2013 Georgian sportsmen won 12 medals including 9 cold at “World Police and Fire Games”.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Belgium Joelle Milquet has opened “World Police and Fire Games” and wished success to all contestants. Before the opening ceremony Belgian police officers demonstrated skills of taking violators under the arrest for the invited guests and team supporters.
“World Police and Fire Games” will be completed on July 20.
