223 recruits of the Department for the protection of the Strategic Objects of Special and Emergency Measures Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs participated in oath taking ceremony. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Colone, Temur Mghebrishvili, Director for the Protection of Strategic, police Colonel Bondo Ochigava and other officials of the agency. The recruits sang the national anthem and marched and demonstrated their combat skills afterwards. After the ceremony was over recruits were blessed by father Davit.
The recruits will serve one year compulsory military service at the Department of the Special and Emergency Measures Center; they will learn military disciplines and participate in local sport events; will be provided with free medical service and meal. The mandatory service period means serving in 24-hour regime once in every three days. The servicemen will also have short-term vacation.
14 successful servicemen of the Department for the Protection of Strategic Objects were awarded with special certificates for the exemplary discipline and achievements in combat technic during compulsory military service.
After the completion of compulsory military service the servicemen having completed the service period with excellence shall be employed in different units of the MIA after winning in the relevant competition.
