Under the initiative and organization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs along with Ministry of Education and Science the meeting was held at N60 public school within the frames of informative-educational project-“Maintenance of law and crime prevention program for public schools".
The meeting was attended by the head of the division for the fight against organized crime of the Central Criminal Police Department Mamuka Tchelide, head of the unit of technologies, research and implementation under the division for the fight with cybercrime Ivane Katsitadze and head of the Administration of the Ministry of Education and Science Eka kentchadze. The meeting was aimed at crime prevention among teenagers through promoting development of the public awareness in the field of law and security.
MIA representatives discussed forms of the organized crime: membership of the thieves’ world, trafficking, cybercrime and prevention methods. At the meeting pupils participated in the role dedicated to the topic of crime investigation. The meeting continued in Q&A format during which MIA representatives provided comprehensive answers to the pupils’ questions.
Beginning from May1, Ministry of Internal Affairs launches informative-educational campaign, aimed at informing public on forms of relations with law enforcement agencies and on citizens’ rights provided by the law, crime prevention among youth by promoting development of the public awareness in the field of law and security.
Within the frames of the campaign “Maintenance of law and crime prevention program for public schools" will be implemented at schools of the capital and regions, including ethnic minority schools. For the pupils of senior classes tours will be arranged to various MIA units, in particular: Service Agency, Emergency Situations Management Agency, Border Police, Emergency Response Center “112”, Expert-Forensic Main Division, Special and Emergency Measures Center and MIA Academy. Meetings at schools will be held by employees of the Central Criminal Police and Patrol Police Departments. Meeting will be dedicated to the traffic safety and forms of the organized crime.
