New administrative building is opened in the Special Emergency Response Division of the Emergency Situations Management Agency of the MIA. Its construction was launched in the last year within the frames of the USA European Command Humanitarian Assistance Program. The mentioned project was funded by the US Department of Defense.
The new administrative building was opened by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA Ian Kelly and the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Merab Malania.
The newly opened administrative building of the Special Emergency Response Division of the Emergency Situations Management Agency of the MIA shall significantly improve the professional level of the firefighter-rescuers and facilitate the training planning process. New training center is multifunctional. In future, with the purpose to prevent emergency situations, it is planned to hold international trainings and conferences, as well as retraining of the representatives of the regional emergency situations services and local self-government in the center.
