Training on the issues of investigation of crime scene was held at the Academy of the MIA. 5-day training was attended by 20 expert-criminalists from Tbilisi and regional divisions of the Expert-Criminalistics Department of the MIA. Training was held by the experts of the Bureau of Investigation of the state of Georgia (GBI) and organized by the USA Office of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
Training on the “Investigation of Crime Scene” covered the practical and theoretical exercises; it aimed at familiarization the attendees with different methods of a crime scene inspection: documenting, recording, drawing, photographing etc.
The participants were awarded with the certificates after completion the training. Similar training and retraining courses are scheduled to be held for the employees of the MIA in future.
