The employees of rescue training and response base of MIA Emergency Management Department as a result of successful rescue operation held in Stepantsminda have assisted the tourist, stuck on one of the picks in finding the right route.
Emergency center 112 received report that three tourists were on one of the picks of Aragvi gorge who were unable to descend from the cliff.
Team of rescue training and response base of MIA Emergency Management Department departed to the place as soon as the report was received. Due to the difficult route team of rescuers could not manage to reach the place where tourists were located and border police helicopter was summoned. Rescuers managed to find tourists and took them to the direction of Tbilisi by the helicopter.
