The employees of the sixth unit of rescue training division of Emergency Management Department under MIA Special and Emergency Measures Center have held mountain-rescue operation with special equipment in order to rescue one of the members of alpinist expedition in Stepantsminda.
In the course of rescue operation officers of MIA Special and Emergency Measures Center descended one of the members of the alpinist expedition, Czech citizen Mario Babunea from 3700 meters above the sea level, who dislocated the leg and was unable to continue the route. The injured alpinist was rendered first aid by the ambulance crew and taken to LTD “Geo Hospital” emergency-medical assistance center. At this moment Mario Babunea’s health is no longer in danger.
