Ministry of Internal Affairs has received new stream of recruits. At the base of Special Tasks Department of Special and Emergency Measures Center, 242 recruits swore an oath during the solemn ceremony. After the oath taking ceremony recruits sang national anthem and demonstrated combat skills.
The oath taking ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Temur Mghebrishvili, director of Special Tasks Department, Police Major Zaza Pantsulaia, representatives of the mentioned Department and other officials of the Agency. The event was also attended by family members of the recruits who had the opportunity to tour around the base and view conditions in which their sons would serve.
The recruits will serve one year compulsory military service at Special Tasks Department of Special and Emergency Measures Center; they will learn military disciplines, provided with free medical service, meal and short-term vacation; they will also participate in local sport events. After completion of mandatory military service successful servicemen will be employed in different units of the MIA after winning in the relevant competition.
At the end of the ceremony Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Temur Mghebrishvili awarded servicemen who completed the service with certificates for bravery and for defending military honor.
