The Police President of Vienna Federal Land Mr. Gerhard Puerstl, Republic of Austria, paid an official visit upon the invitation of the head of Central Criminal Police Department Ivane Papiashvili. A two-day visit was dedicated to official meetings with the head of Central Criminal Police Department Ivane Papiashvili, head of Tbilisi Police Main Division Shalva Bedoidze and the head of Patrol Police Department Davit Tsinaridze.
During the meetings guests were introduced to work principles of the Ministry, as well as planned and implemented novelties. The parties shared the work specifics and experience of the law enforcement bodies in the capitals. The president of Vienna Federal Land and City of Vienna Police expressed interest in methods of operation of Tbilisi Criminal Police and Patrol Police. The reforms implemented in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Patrol Police rebranding were the central issues of discussions.
