The officers of Anti-corruption Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of operative-searching activities detained deputy head of Aspindza municipality Levan Khozrevanidze for accepting bribe in especially large quantities. Investigation established that Levan Khozrevanidze while fulfilling his official duties, promised certain citizen to assist him in taking the land area (22 635 square meters) located near to Tsundi Lake on lease and in return demanded 50 000 US dollars as a bribe and accepted 21 000 in advance.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of bribery in especially large quantities, article 338, III part, sub-paragraph “F”, which envisages from 11 to 15 years of imprisonment.
