Officers of MIA Anti-corruption Agency as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, detained the head of Uplitsikhe Historical-Architectural Museum-Reserve under National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia Irakli Miruashvili in Tbilisi for bribery in especially large quantities.
Investigation established, that Irakli Miruashvili, while performing his official duties, assisted a citizen to take state-owned land on the territory of Uplitsikhe Historical-Architectural Museum-Reserve on lease and in return demanded and received 13 000 GEL.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of bribery (article 338, part II, subparagraph “B” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.) The committed crime envisages from 7 to 11 years of imprisonment.
