The officers of the Anti-corruption Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of investigative and operative-searching activities deained Givi K. for the bribery in large quantities.
It was established by the investigation that Givi K. promised to the certain citizen assistance in purchaising 2734 square metres of land area owned by the Telavi municipality through the public auction, he pretended as if was acting on behalf of head of the one of the units at Telavi municipality. In returned for the mentioned favor Givi K. demanded and accepted 13 000 US dollars as a bribe.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of the bribery ccommitted in large quantities, article 25-338, II part, sub-paragraph B of the Criminal Code, which envisages from 7 to 11 years of imprisonment.
Investigation is conducted by Anti-corruption Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
