The employees of Anti-corruption Agency on the basis of operative-searching activities, detained Giorgi L. and Otar M. for the illegal purchase and keeping and selling of firearms and ammunition.
Investigation established, that Giorgi M. illegally sold “Bereta” type pistol for 550 GEL, which according to expertise result is regarded as firearms and is suitable for shooting.
Law enforcers seized illegally purchased and kept ammunition as a result of earching activities held in Otar M's apartment.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and selling of firearms and ammunition previously negotiated by a group. (Article 236 I and IV part “A” sub-paragraph of the Criminal Code of Georgia) which envisages from 7 to 10 years of imprisonment.
