The officers of Vani police of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Regional Main Division as a result of operative-searching activities detained Aleksandre R. (DoB 1993) for being accomplice in the armed assault committed in Vaani and Davit L. (DoB 1987) for armed robbery.
Investigation established that on September 1 of the current year three armed persons broke into the house located in Pereta village owned by Ketevan O. offenders inflicted body injuries to Ketevan O. and her under aged son, they demanded cash and jewelry. Under the threats of liquidation offenders appropriated jewelry and other objects owned by the family.
Law enforcers managed to identify all of the persons involved in the armed robbery in several minutes after the incident. Aleksandre R. and Davit L. were detained as a result of immediate activities. Relevant activities are being held in order to detain other persons involved in the crime.
Investigation also established that in January of the current year Aleksandre R. stole photo camera, the fact of stealing was reported by the owner several days ago.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of armed robbery, assisting to the armed assault and stealing, articles 179, I and II parts, 24-179, II part sub-paragraph B and part III as well as article 177, II part of the Criminal Code.
