The officers of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Regional Main Division of Dusheti regional unit, as a result of operative-investigative activities detained Alexi G. (DoB 1965) and Sergi G. (DoB 1992) for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition.
The law enforcers seized 4 automatic weapons as a result of searching carried out at Alexi G. house located in village Katsalkhevi, Dusheti region one of which was Sergi G’s property. The officers also seized 126 bullets meant for the same weapon as well as 7 cartridges and 1 missile produced in Russia. Both detainees have already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition, article 236, I and III parts of the Criminal Code.
