The officers of II Main Division of Central Criminal Police Department as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained Zurab N.(DoB 1981) at Abkhazeti street, Tbilisi for illegal purchase, carrying and keeping of firearm.
During the searching activities held in the detainee’s house the law enforcers seized hand made machine gun, as well as hand made silencer aimed for machine gun, cut gun and 8 bullets. According to the results of expertise firearms and ammunition are suitable for shooting.
Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and armament under the article 236, I part of the Criminal Code.
