The standing commission, established on the basis of the relevant decree issued by the Minister of Internal Affairs, liquidated drugs seized from illegal circulation as a result of investigative activities held across the country. Among other drugs law enforcers destructed 116 kg heroin seized frorm the truck by the Central Criminal Police Department in 2013 in Akhaltsikhe, at Ninotsminda customs as well as 360 pills of “subutex” 4,57gr methadone 322 gr heroin, 0,282 cocaine, 19,5 kg of marijuana and 15 kg of cannabis. The mentioned drugs were destructed by means of new technologies in special oven.
Law enforcers conduct destruction of drugs and psychotropic substances in every three months on the basis of the relevant decision of the Court.
Process of drug destruction was attended by Central Criminal Police Department and Forensic Main Division representatives along with officials from the Ministry of Healthcare and General Prospector’s office and media representatives.
