The officers of Vake-Saburtalo police division as a result of operative-investigative activities detained Levan G. (DoB 1988) for illegal purchase and keeping of firearm and causing serious injury on purpose.
Investigation established that on October 16 detainee wounded Gocha V. (DoB 1979) with a firearm and fled from the place of crime. Law enforcers managed to detain Levan G. several hours later after the crime took place. During the personal search law enforcers seized pistol, one cartridge and 6 bullets. Law enforcers transferred two accompanying persons of the detainee to the special facility for drug testing. According to the results of expertise one of the accompanying persons – Teimuraz K. (DoB 1989) was under the influence of drugs.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearm and causing serious injury on purpose, article 236, I part of the Criminal Code.
