The officers of the Division Combatting Criminality of the Main Division for Combat Organized Crime of the Central Criminal Police Department, the MIA, as a result of operative-searching measures arrested Lasha G. – D.o.B.: 1995 – in Tbilisi for illicit purchase, keeping and carrying a fire-arm and ammunition.
The law enforcers, on the basis of the operative information, stopped the “Jaguar” vehicle driving in Gelovani avenue, Tbilisi; after the search of the vehicle “AK 74” model non-registered rifle without numbers and 8 cartridges were seized from the sack. It was established that the mentioned fire-arm and the cartridges belonged to a passenger.
The investigation is in progress over the fact of illicit purchase, keeping and carrying a fire-arm and ammunition. (2nd and 3rd parts of the article 236, Criminal Code of Georgia).
