The officers of Central Criminal Police Department along with Kvemo Kartli Regional Main Division as a result of jointly held operative-searching activities detained Giorgi P. (DoB 1978) and Giorgi G. (DoB 1973) for illegal purchase, keeping and selling of firearms and ammunition.
Investigation established that Giorgi P. purchased two “Gloc” pistols in one of the stores located in Tbilisi and registered firearms on his name with permit of keeping. Lately he ilegally soled the mentioned firearms to Giorgi G. -each for 1500 GEL with a previous concent.
During the searching activities held in Giorgi G’s house and vehicle, police seized 3 bullets, while from Arbo village cemetary law enforcers seized 2 unregistered pistols, which had been ilegally purchased.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and selling of firearms, article 236, II, III and IV parts of the Criminal Code.
