The officers of Tetritskaro police division of Kvemo Kartli Regional Main Division as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained previously convicted for theft Manizha Tch. (DoB 1968) in Tbilisi for armed assault.
Investigation established that the mentioned detainee introduced herself as the social agent to the family of Sisona G. residing in the refugee settlement “Koda” earned the family’s trust and during her another visit put Maka D. (member of the family) in a helpless condition by means of misusing medical drugs. In order to conceal the traces of crime and in order to kill the victim Manizha Tch. opened and left the gas tap in such condidtion at the apartment, appropriated 3 300 GEL and left the crime scene. Sosana G. and Maka D. were rendered medical aid dully. At this moment theirlives are no longer in danger.
As a result of investigative activities law enforcers managed to detain Manizha Tch. several days later in Tbilisi. The appropriated sum in US dollars was seized by police as evidence.
In the course of investigation other circumstances of the crime had also been revealed owning to which the detainee faced additional charges. Investigation found out that detainee committed another crime in Marneuli in November of 2014. Manizha Tch. poured unknown substance while drinking coffee with spouses- Vilaiat and Gulchokhra N. on the territory of the Maraneuli open market, where Manizha Tch. visited the mentioned persons as if for purchasing big party of their products. By pouring unknown substance in the coffee of the spouses Manizha Tch. put their lives and health in danger. After the mentioned Manizha Tch. appropriated jewelry worth of 2000 GEL, 6000 GEL and fled from the place of crime. Victims were transferred to the hospital their lives are no longer in danger. Detainee has already pleaded guilty in both of the committed crimes.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of robbery committed with violence against two or more persons being in helpless condition, the attempted murder committed under the aggravated circumstances for concealing the traces of crime and stealing, article 178, II part, sub-paragraph A, III part, sub-paragraph D, article 19-109 I part, sub-paragraph E, II part, sub-paragraph B and III part sub-paragraph A as well as article 177, II part, sub-paragraph A envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
