The officers of Telavi police division of Kakheti Regional Department as a result of operative-investigative activities detained K.K. (DoB 1988) for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition.
During the searching activities held in detainee’s house located in Lapankuri village, law enforcers seized 6 kg. of explosive substance ammonium, 46 bullets and details of the firearm.
According to the expertise results the seized explosive substance and ammunition is suitable for using.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition, article 236, II part of the Criminal Code.
