The officers of the Detectives Division of Tbilisi Police Department and Vake-Saburtalo Division of the MIA as a result of the immediate operative-searching and investigative activities detained V.M. (D.o.B.: 1961) for premeditated murder.
The investigation established that on August 12, this year in Tbilisi, Saburtalo district the accused, as a result of a quarrel, inflicted lethal injuries with a cold arm to the throat area to his mother – Ts. M (D.o.B.: 1933) and fled from the place of crime. The wounded died on the place.
Law enforcers detained the accused in several minutes in the vicinity of one of the stations of Saburtalo line, Tbilisi subway.
Police officers seized the knife as evidence. Detainee has already pleaded guilty. Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder (article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
