The officers of Lagodekhi police division of Kakheti Regional Main Division along with kakheti Patrol police officers, as a result of investigative activities jointly held on the basis of operative information the citizen of Azerbaijan Habib S. (DoB 1977) for illegal import of drugs in large amounts and illegal purchase and keeping of narcotics.
Law enforcers detained Habib S. when he crossed he entered Georgian state border from the Republic of Azerbaijan. Police seized drugs in large quantities which was purchase on the territory of Azerbaijan and ready for realization.
According to the results of expertise narcotic appeared to be opium in the amount of 3,211 gr.
Drug test revealed that Habib S. under the drug influence in the moment of his detention.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal import of drugs in large amounts and illegal purchase, import and keeping of narcotics, articles 262, I part and article 260 I part of the Criminal Code.
