The officers of Vake-Saburtalo police division as a result of immediate operative-searching ad investigative activities detained N.M. (DoB 1995) and G.R. (DoB 1995) for armed robbery, extortion and illegal purchase and keeping of firearms.
Investigation established that on Vazha-Pshavela Avenue detainees appropriated jewelry, expensive sun glasses, watch, vehicle from the citizen under the pressure of the firearm and fled from the place of crime.
Law enforcers managed to detain the wrongdoers in Tbilisi. Police seized the carjacked vehicle and other items as evidence.
In order to establish and detain others involved in the mentioned crime, operative activities are still underway.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of armed robbery, extortion and illegal purchase and keeping of firearms, articles 179, 181 and 236 of the Criminal Code.
