The officers of Kvemo Kartli Division of Patrol Police Department as a result of immediate operative-searching and investigative activities detained several times convicted in past Otar V. (DoB 1980) for armed robbery.
Patrol Police officers detained the mentioned person in Rustavi who was armed and din the moment when he attempted to leave the place of crime after unsuccessful assault on the family, members of which offered resistance. Law enforcers detained Otar V. 200 meters away from the place of crime.
Investigation established that mentioned person assaulted jewelry shop in Rustavi appropriated large quantity of valuable items and fled from the place of crime. Investigation also established that Otar V. also robbed two families two hours later after assaulting the jewelry shop.
During the personal search policemen seized Makarov type pistol, stolen items, appropriated jewelry and cash.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of armed robbery, apartment robbery, attempted robbery and illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms, articles 17 9 I part, 177 II part, sub-paragraph B, III part, sub-paragraph C, 19-177 and article 236 II and III parts.
