The officers of Achara Regional main Division as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained many times convicted Giorgi M. (DoB 1985) for membership of the so called thieves’ world and extortion and convicted in the past Shalva K. (DoB 1991) for resistance to the police.
Investigation established, that Giorgi M has been extorting money from the citizen of Turkey systematically under the threats of liquidation since the beginning of 2015. Investigation also established that Giorgi M. recognizes the “Criminal World”.
Law enforcers detained Giorgi M. in Batumi at the crossroad of Bakhtrioni and Lermontovi streets. The accompanied person Shalva K. offered resistance to the police officers and verbal and physical assault. Due to the mentioned fact, Shalva K was also detained on the site.
Investigation is in progress against Giorgi M. on the fact of membership of the thieves’ world, article 2231 part I of the Criminal Code and article 181, II part, G sub-paragraph). Investigation is in progress against Shalva M. on the fact of resistance to the police
