The officers of Vake-Saburtalo police Division of MIA previously convicted for stealing and currently released under probationary sentence Giorgi A. (Dob 1996) and previosuly convicted for robbery Sandro Sh. (Dob. 1994), who was also released under probationary sentence, detained for theft committed by group.
The law enforcers detained Giorgi A. and Sandro Sh. late at night at Ipolite Khvichia street, Tbilisi, when they robbed souvenire shop and attempted to fled from the crime scene. During the personal search of detainees the law enforcers seized stolen bijouterie and 60 GEL as evidence.
The investigation established that Giorgi A. and Sandro Sh. penetrated bakeries and supermarkets located at several districts of Tbilisi and stole beverage, sigarettes and money from them. Also at November 1, detainees broke the window of office of non-govermental organization “Save the life” located at Qartvelishvili street, Tbilisi and from the abovementioned office penetrated in the supermarket “Ja-Zu” where they stole one box of chocolate. Detainees have already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of theft committed by group, article 177, part 3, “A” sub-paragraph.
