The officers of Gori police division of Shida Kartli Regional Main Division as a result of operative-investigative activities detained Giorgi O. (DoB 1973) and previously convicted for stealing and armed robbery Giorgi G. (DoB 1979) for stealing.
Investigation established that stole railway holders of Tbilisi-Nikozi route owned by the “Georgian Railway”.
The mentioned persons were detained in Akhaldaba by the law enforcers when they attempted to transport the stolen items.
Both of the detainees have already pleaded guilty. They also admitted to commit similar offences in the past. Investigation established that fiscal damage caused to the “Georgian Railway” amounted to 1134 GEL.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of stealing, article 177, III part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code. The committed crime envisaged from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment.
