The officers of Batumi Police Division as a result of investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained seven hotel owners for providing lodging to prostitution. The detainees are as follows: citizen of Turkey Umitiashar Q. (DoB 1985) Georgian citizen Goga A. (DoB 1973) Turkish citizen Joshkun U. (DoB 1973) Iranian citizen Mohhamahusein L. (DoB 1977) Azerbaijani citizen Karina G. (DoB 1956) Turkish citizen Ferdi D. (DoB 1981) as for Georgian citizens Leva Z. (DoB 1972) and Mirian M. (DoB 1993) were brought to criminal responsibility.
Investigation established that detained persons provided lodging to prostitution in their hotels for certain amount of cash. Police has already interrogated hotel personnel and female witnesses.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of providing lodging to prostitution, article 254, I part of the Criminal Code.
