The officers of Kvemo Kartli division of the Central Criminal Police Department as a result of operative-investigative activities detained previously convicted for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms-Shota M. (DoB 1973) in Rustavi for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities.
During the personal search of the detainee law enforcers seized a sport bag in which 85 000 US dollars were placed received as a result of selling of drugs. Law enforcers also seized 681,29 gr of drug which according to the results of expertise contains 441,636 gr of heroin. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities, article 260, III part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.
